"Meanwhile in Qld, the Thylacine returns" Ltd Ed Print
“Meanwhile in Queensland, the Thylacine Returns” was created during the beginning of the Corona virus lockdowns across the globe. Nature was starting to reclaim spaces and heal in a way.
There was at the time a spate of internet memes using the statement “Meanwhile in (insert place), (cryptid species) returns” to emphasis the massive change the planet was going through as a result of humans being confined.
This work is a conversation between an extinct Thylacine and a Magpie thought of as a thriving species. How quickly a species we see everyday can go from thriving to extinction lays in the hands of humans.
Art reproduction prints of this work are now available in a limited edition of 30 on rag paper - unframed. each print is hand editioned and signed.
Print size = 42 cm x 30 cm with 3 cm border
